When it comes to clearing our gardens and properties of unwanted debris, such as tree branches and fallen leaves, it can quickly become clear that some extra help is needed. One of the best tools for the job is a chipper, which will make short work of any unwanted debris that you wish to dispose of. The question facing many homeowners, however, is whether they should be looking for a chipper for sale or one for rent.

 Sale

  • You will need to use the chipper more than once or twice in your lifetime, making the purchase of one a much wiser choice.
  • The cost of buying a chipper that you can use hundreds of times will be far less than the cost of renting one each time you need it.
  • You need to use the equipment as a part of your job, meaning that constantly renting it is completely unfeasible.

 Rent

  • You will only need to use the chipper once or twice, or even only for a few days at a time, making the purchase of one unnecessary.
  • Any maintenance or repairs that are required are dealt with by the company renting the equipment to you, and often at no extra cost to you.
  • You don’t have to worry about finding room to store the equipment or you will only have to store it short term until it is returned.

Once you have decided which option best describes your current gardening needs, you will know whether you should be looking for a chipper for sale or one that is for rent. And don’t forget that you can always change your mind down the track and sell your chipper to begin renting or buy one.
